Deathly Hallows casting

Post by fruitbat » Tue Mar 24, 2009 10:54 am

Oops: I just posted this by accident on the Half-Blood Prince thread.
I didn't notice another Deathly Hallows thread.

Someone on another forum posted this link:
Deathly Hallows Casting News: Ciaran Hinds to Play Aberforth Dumbledor
Not confirmed yet, but I love Ciaran since I first saw him in Persuasion.

Not exactly a family resemblance between him and Gambon. :scratch

I agree! But you know what the make-up department is like there. They can do all sorts I guess.

Ooo Ciaran Hinds. I loved him in Rome! Sexy Caesar.I had a minor crush on him which led me to rent everything I could find on him. There was one film "The Man who Cried" a very boring very dull film which just went on and on. :uhoh I was so exasperated with the whole thing and mused aloud " God this is soooo awful but I wonder why its called The Man who Cried?". As soon as I said it he started crying and the film ended much to my relief.
But I do think he is a charming actor.

I remember seeing that, but I can't remember a thing about it except that it also stared his Persuasion co-star, Amanda Root.
I tried twice to watch Rome and couldn't get into it.

Rhys Ifans as Xenophilius Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The only thing I can remember to have seen him in was as Spike in Nothing Hill.. lol

Rhys Ifans scared the hell out of me in Enduring Love. He looks like Luna, but I can't see him playing a sympathetic character. Time will tell.

I saw Enduring Love, and yes Helen, he scared the bejeezus (however it's spelled lol) out of me.
It was a great movie though...I loved it so much I think I saw it 3 times.

He looks like Luna
He does! And I can easily picture him in the role of her father.

(I don't like Rhys Ifans. Don't ask me why, I just don't)

Doesn't matter how it's spelled; he scared it!

p.s. you spelled it correctly, SLW.

I loved it so much I think I saw it 3 times.

I own it! During a Daniel Craig phase I was (and sorta still am) going through.
