From this PAGEWith Barnaby on his way out, the list of potential successors is already a long one. Names being bandied about include Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks) and Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter). True-May can confirm that Barnaby’s sidekick, DS Ben Jones (Jason Hughes), will not be taking the lead in the manner of Kevin Whately’s Lewis. However, True-May refuses to name Barnaby’s replacement.
‘I’m not going to tell you at this stage,’ he says. ‘We are 95 per cent there and are going to announce it this October.

Hmmmmm, as RPJ is no longer going to be in the US show "The Forgotten" he might be available. Comparing his imdb page to Jason's, RPJ's future is clear, while Jason has future projects listed.
I don't know where I'm going with this. I think it was an attempt to do some helpful sleuthing, but it's late and the Tavy photo on Jason's imdb page made my mind go blank.
Apologies.
How many v's in "Tavy", anyway?

I posted the link to the interview on the other message I frequent, asking if Midsomer Murders was broadcast in the US. So far, one reply, that it used to be on BBCA, "many years ago"
Also, apparently the region 1 dvds don't have all the episodes that are shown in the UK.
I also posted the link on RPJ sub-board on that board; if any of his fans hear anything before we do, I'll let you guys know.

I know up here I've seen it on TVOntario, but they were old episodes. Don't know how long it would take us to get the new ones though.I posted the link to the interview on the other message I frequent, asking if Midsomer Murders was broadcast in the US. I watched an episode recently and, checking the imdb page for one of the guest stars, Tom Georgeson, I see that that episode, from series 9, (or "seasons" as we call them in North America) originally aired in the UK in Feb of 2006. That's quite a delay. There are 12 series listed on imdb.Gillian wrote:I know up here I've seen it on TVOntario, but they were old episodes. Compare and contrast with Australia......fruitbat wrote:I posted the link to the interview on the other message I frequent, asking if Midsomer Murders was broadcast in the US. So far, one reply, that it used to be on BBCA, "many years ago"
.....where about 6 months ago it was screening on TWO free-to-air TV networks, PLUS at least one pay TV channel....
....occasionally on the same night!
*Yawn*
I hope Jason doesn't do this. He's way too young to be semi-retired. ;)
