Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is throwing a party for the films' stars to celebrate the end of the movie franchise.
Rowling, along with bosses at Warner Brothers, are putting the party together for the cast and crew of the popular series, which finally finished filming.
The last feature, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is now finished and will be released in two parts.
The leaving bash will be held at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, where each of the eight movies have been filmed.
It is claimed a fairground has also been constructed for the event.

KP = Kitchen Police or Kitchen Patrol originally an unofficial military term but now used for any kind of kitchen duty (was usually given to junior enlisted members as a punishment) - anyone for peeling 1,000 potatoes?

Anytime Angel - I've lost track of how many times I've had to ask our Brit friends what something meant when Jason would use a term in an interview that I was unfamiliar with.

I keep forgetting my abbreviations aren't always clear to you all. Sorry!
KP means Kitchen Porter, we basically take out the trash, wash dishes, pot and pans, take out the trash, sweep and mop, take out the trash (and boxes) and make sure spills are cleaned up.

Yup sounds the same as Military KP duties - except they also get to do grunt food preperations (wash veggies, peel, etc.)

I spent my 18th birthday on KP at Ft. Dix, New Jersey.
Not very festive.
But even back then, they had a big automatic scraper for the potatoes--I can't remember, but I suspect we had to cut out any sprouts or whatev, but then we just chucked them into something like an enormous rock polisher.

That sounds not half bad!! My wost duty was in Officer Training School a bunch of us were made to scape the old wax off of the school's floor with razor blades (small normal size razor blades that we had to hold by hand - no scraping tool.) It was torture.

It's a wonder you didn't cut off any fingers. Those blades get slippery and can flip right out of your fingers. Sheesh.
Sooooo, Hilary and Marie . . . what did you two do to deserve such duty? Hmmmm? We wanna know!!

I was with about four other Lts to be - walking silly down a hill. We were deamed not respectful enough. Yea the razor duty sure wiped the smiles off of our faces!!!!
