Reviews for HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Post by thunder » Thu Nov 11, 2010 2:57 pm

There will be thousands of these, but I just wanted to share this.

Because of this:

The performances are also uniformly excellent, with Jason Isaacs a particular stand-out as Lucius Malfoy, a shadow of his former self following a spell in Azkaban Prison.

I knew that! :furthermore

The review was actually the same as the reviews for the book ... that the whole on-the-run thing was rambling, felt kind of aimless, just a build-up to the ending ... so I guess that means the moviemakers really stayed true to the book.

:D

Yay.

Good! I really hope they stay loyal to the spirit of the book and the major plot points.

I want to see this movie now, but will have to wait until november 20.
I'm getting impatient.

Fabulous reviews in all the papers today and Emma Watson in her black lacey mini dress on EVERY front page.

I like the dress too, Emma looks stunningly beautiful (and sexy in that dress)

Just returned from the cinema. Too tired now for a detailed review but it was worth the money. Of course they left out a lot but it was well done, great images and Jason was fabulous. Even if he hadn't much screen time...but we knew that before. Hope that there will be a little bit more of Lucius/Narcissa moments in part 2. Don't know but anyhow I I sparked my interest for her^^.

The reviews in Newsweek issue of Nov. 22,2010

"Deathly Hallows'? Try Deadly Boring.

It's the beginning of the end of the 'Potter' films. Good riddance.

He loved the books. Called them enchanting but hated the movies. The whole review is bad.
You may be able to read it on the Newseek website. I didn't check.

I think it's the most difficult thing a director can do. Make a movie out of a book. Especially detailed books and book-series like Lord of the rings and Harry Potter.
He shouldn't be so rough...

Movies aren't exactly like the books. It's very hard to dramatise an entire book in two hours, or even three or four
