@marilaine: or a Mac!
Glad to see it's looking a little more welcoming for some of you! Speaking of spammers, though, I did activate a new feature that I hope will not backfire: it checks user's IP addresses at registration (and maybe at log-in sometimes??) against lists of known spammers. This sounded like a cracking idea to me. However, it can apparently yield false positives or slow down logging in; if you guys have problems with that, shoot me a PM and we might disable it.

So far it looks OK to me - I have not had any issues with logging in speed.

Getting used to the new board and it's got a lot of interesting stuff once you start exploring.
See I'm not that old that I can't adjust.

No problems logging in, however, when I click "Automatically log me in" . . . it doesn't the next time I come to the board. Poop!

Hm . . . Marie, are you sure that you have cookies enabled on your computer? Automatic logging in is working fine for me--is it still working on other sites you visit?

Hilary. I have the same problem but I also have it on any of the sites that offer automatic sign in. Will check the cookies.

My laptop is fine but I have the same problem on the main computer, every time I go onto the site I have to log on, I will check out the cookie situation later on and see if that does it.

Hilary - you mean Helen - not Marie (wrong cat!!!)
I am not having any issues with the automatic log in. I suspect it is a security setting on Helen's computer.

I tried the cookie bit but it didn't work. Will just sign in each time. Has never worked on my MAC but thats ok. It works so good on other things that I don't mind.
Re: Possible meltdown alert!!
That's strange-it logs in fine each time for me.
