accepting the HP award was JK, David Heyman, supposed to be Rupert, Emma and Daniel...I didn't hear of Daniel on the red carpet,
but reading the live blog from Empire, 4 out of the 5 were there .....
still, nothing about JI...Hopefully, next year, the BAFTAS will be important, because of 'Case Histories' ...which airs in Sept....

The Potter franchise won the award for 'Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema' – which is the same award that Jason presented (to Pinewood and Shepperton Studios) at the BAFTAS in 2009 (And there's a link to his presentation on the site I hope that these play outside the UK.)
There was a lovely moment as the recipients went up to receive the award – Emma Watson was wearing a dress with a long train, which Rupert Grint stood on as they ascended the steps – she tugged it free and gave him a look that was very much Hermione: "Oh
Ron!"
Potter was nominated for two other craft awards and the director of
Skeletons was nominated for 'British newcomer' - neither won though - but a nomination is recognition in itself.

What did everyone think about Jo's dress? I thought she looked a bit uncomfortable in it. Snake is so not her!

I thought the snake print was lovely. I'm not crazy about the halter look though - it would have looked better with regular shoulder straps or some whispy sleeves. But not a bad dress.

I think it was the halter style that made her look uncomforatble, I think she was worried about wardrobe malfunction.

Hmmm, I rather liked the dress - and JK is certainly on the cutting edge of fashion. Prepare yourselves, ladies, spring and summer fashions are overloaded with 70s-esque halter tops! Yikes! Time to do some serious work on those upper body muscles. And get ready for racks and racks of reptile and sea life printed fabrics, as well.
Lived through the 70s once, not too interested in wearing it again! Hot pants, anyone?
