Re: Jason Attending Opening of HP Exhibition in Belgium
Carole, please tell Lizzie thanx so very much
thank you, that was an enormous effort to bring us the info and PICS s
he looks Happy to be there, and yes, the crowd was ecstatic...luved how he was
comforting the young woman who kept crying...
I was happy to see a body guard there for Jason (the big dude with the bald head and goatee)
he does talk security in the interview where he entered thru the "Death Tube"...
You never know what can happen in a crowd...

I'm so pleased that everyone is enjoying the pics from Antwerp and Lizzie.
And from Lizzie, here's some later footage with Jason and Ivanna as well as a couple of Belgian adventurers (I think). Jason speaks around the 5 minute mark for a couple of minutes about filming in Morocco.
http://www.een.be/programmas/villa-vant ... stijnrally
Also a quote from Lizzie on what Jason was gesticulating about.
'My guess is that he's going on about the roof of the train station which is indeed rather impressive. They've only recently restored it and did a very good job. As he said in the interview with the paper, it would be a good scenery for a Potter movie! :-)
Many thanks for the clarification, Lizzie.
Apologies for the misspelling I did. My mistake completely. I should have know that Lizzie would have been talking about a piper, rather than a pepper. I'll make sure it's changed on the posts.
Hooroo,
Carole

Carole (and Lizzie!), thanks for taking the time and making the effort to share the gorgeousness!
I can't help but notice, though, that several of the photos are marked as copyrighted--did you get permission from the photographer to post them here? If not, can you please change the the URLs to links instead of posts for those ones? Thanks!

Blimey, I'm glad you all enjoyed my sighting of Jason last Wednesday. It's been a rather surreal event until you see everything on the telly and through the pictures again.
I know the interviewer is a bit enthousiastic but trust me, he's usually even worse. I do agree that he didn't always catch the meaning in Jason's words but I can assure you that it's not so easy to swtich between Dutch and English. Well, I only manage after being in an English speaking country for a while or when I've been in an English conversation long enough to drown out the Dutch part of my brain. Nobody seemed to have noticed that he first even said the movie was called 'Deathly Harrows' so I think his bosses were murmuring in his ear to correct him as well. LOL!

NO NO NO! This cannot be true I was just off for a few weeks to concentrate on exams at university. And here I see he was in Antwerpen. Antwerpen is just about 2 hours by car from here. OMG! I'll jump from my house's roof I'm not a very lucky person.

I feel bad for you Lisabella. So near and yet so far. Sigh!

Nope. Sorry, Lisabella. We won't allow it.

Apologies, I removed all the copyrighted pics and have replace them all with pics from Lizzie or those that have no copyright mark to them.Carole (and Lizzie!), I can't help but notice, though, that several of the photos are marked as copyrighted--did you get permission from the photographer to post them here? Here's a few last ones to enjoy.
And a final one from HBP.
Lovely pics indeed.

Re: Jason Attending Opening of HP Exhibition in Belgium
I have been given permission from Julia (Maria on JIF Yahoo Group) to post her pics of the Harry Potter event in Antwerp.
If you want to friend her on facebook, you can see all her pics there:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 1833291795
Here are just a few of them.
Jason giving his autograph
Getting ready for the pic
Oops, accidentally took a pic of himself
The final result - well worth it
Thanks to Julia for being at the event and for taking the pics and allowing them to be shared.

Re: Jason Attending Opening of HP Exhibition in Belgium
First things first: NOOOOOOOO, Lisabella, no hara-kiri!! Jason Isaacs fans are too special to part with over such a cause, though I feel your pain!
Second, thanks for going to the trouble to sort those photos out, Carole, and welcome and thank you, Lizzie! (Were you able to meet up with Maria, or was it just coincidence that you were both at the event?)
Carole, I don't want you to feel singled out, and I considered sending you a PM, but--especially with the final HP arriving this month--I suspect that the topic will come up again, so I'm going to address it here.
The issue with the pictures you took down was not that they were MARKED as copyrighted, it's that they ARE copyrighted.
Whoever takes a photograph owns the copyright. A professional photographer may transfer copyright to an agency; Lizzie gave permission for her photos to be posted, so those were okay.
Putting a watermark on a picture just makes it easier to prove a picture is yours, it doesn't give any additional protection.
When in doubt, please just post a link so we can view photos on the copyright holder's site. Some of us have been around long enough to remember a lovely site dedicated to Rupert Sewell which had to be deconstructed and removed over the posting of copyrighted material.

Another video of the same event from Lizzie. This time talking about hats at the recent UK Royal Wedding.

Thanks for the new pictures and link
Re: Jason Attending Opening of HP Exhibition in Belgium
We did try to meet up but since I can't access internet at work and had only seen the message on my LJ the evening before we missed each other. This did provide pictures from different angles of course. Maria's young flowering person will have attracted his attention better than this aging bat. LOL!Hilary the Touched wrote:Second, thanks for going to the trouble to sort those photos out, Carole, and welcome and thank you, Lizzie!
