I'm so lucky to live in a small city. I'm siting in the theater for the 10am showing. Got to the theater at 9:45 did not pre-buy tickets. got in no problem - theater is full now. (Don't worry I'll turn off the iPad before the movie starts!).

I got to the theater 1 1/2 hours early; they let us in right away since it was the first showing in that theater; sat through an endless slide show that repeated every 5 minutes ; theater was 3/4 full by showtime. Upside: very few noisy kids.

But the movie was brilliant.

LOL my boyfriend said the same thing, I wish he had more screen time. I just got back from the theater, it was full but there weren't many kids. I really liked the movie and will see it again- I didn't see it in 3D, but the "normal" version was entirely enjoyable without the 3D effects. Well, obviously HP doesn't need 3D to be good.

The theater was practically empty. I don't know how this theater survives. It has 8 screens and I've never been to a show that was full. Lucky me as I know I would have no problem getting a seat this morning.

Sprog and I went last night, and theatre was quite full, so we ended up sitting closer to the front than was really comfortable.

Some sniveling from us as well--the utterly tragic dragon in the vaults of Gringott's was one of the saddest things I've seen in ages. Sprog was quite touched by the injustice of neglect of Neville.

Jason--all 1.87 minutes of him--looked stunning, even battered and ill-kempt. The cinematography was very flattering to Lucius.

Except for the scene that he got slapped. The make-up people made his eyelids too red. (Just my opinion, I want him to look perfect all the time, LOL)

Great, great film. All ended as it should have done.

I did snivel quite a bit (but was very demure in comparison to the woman next to me who bawled for approximately 90% of the film - I almost gave her a hug at one point she seemed so distressed.)

Thought it belonged to Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman - just tremendous performances from both of them.

Lucius ... rather at odds with everyone and himself, poor lamb, although I struggled to find any sympathy for him whatsoever, as was entirely as it should be. He really was truly pathetic. Mr I played it brilliantly. And at the end ... more running ... not through the streets of Edinburgh this time ... but still running from his past.
