Dear fellow JI admirer,
Snape, I have been meaning to tell you how much I share your admiration for the marvelous Snape/ARickman. I have a copy of Kostner's Robin Hood, and I watch it about every six months, fast-forwarding much of Kevin and friends and watching marvelous Rickman as he swaggers and hisses his way through. That great scene with the "witch" (his mother?), and the wonderful thing where he kills his cousin as he tests the steel of the sword. He is fantastic in HP stuff, lots better than those films sometimes deserve. Love reading your posts.

You might also check him out in Die Hard as well as the wonderful Barchester Chronicles (where I first saw him and admired him) from Masterpiece Theatre in the eighties. It's always been my suspicion that J. K. Rowling patterned Snape after Obadiah Slope, the the snakelike opportunistic deacon that he played.

aaa.gif Yes! I loved him in DIE HARD! I'll look for the others. But I will always see his face as he tells the little girl he is holding hostage that he had a horrible childhood. That expression is just so great!
