Jason plays Peter, an FBI agent who investigates the murder of an archaeologist in Jerusalem. While doing this, he uncovers a 2000 year old conspiracy. The event series was filmed on location in Jerusalem, before the production had to move to Croatia and New Mexico.

It's a very good one.
As much as I like the unknown though, the sometimes confusing storyline is thankfully kept grounded by the strong performances by its’ cast. Jason Isaacs plays Peter as more than just the stereotypical man-with-a-tortured-past, relying more so on his capability to get his job done than the tragedy of his past (and I swear I only pictured him as Lucius Malfoy a handful of times while watching, which isn’t too shabby). I thoroughly enjoyed his scenes with Anne Heche, as their complicated professional/personal relationship is tinged with a palpable chemistry, as well as a true sense of compassion and friendship.
Ultimately, the enjoyment from watching Dig must come from going into it with an open mind. It’s a cryptic show that relishes in telling its’ perplexing saga at its’ own pace, only allowing the audience small pieces of the puzzle at a time. But this ability to hold back and divulge clues in small doses is what makes it a gripping and enigmatic riddle. Much like a book where you can’t stop yourself from moving on to the next chapter, I’ve never been one to walk away from a good, old-fashioned mystery until I know how it all goes down. So I’ll be sticking with Dig until I figure it out.
They didn't have anything negative to say at all. :D

Here's another one:

He thinks it's a bit too complicated.

Edit:
This guy also think it's complicated, but that it's not a bad thing...

He's seen the first 3 episodes of a mystery show that is going to be solved in 10 episodes. Then he moans about not seeing all the solutions and where the story is going after episode 3. One would think he's unfamiliar with the concept...

You aren't supposed to get it until the end!!! :rave

Awesome - I really hope the Thursday episode has good numbers. I'm not much of a college basketball fan - but "March Madness" will start to eat into the numbers I fear.

It's more of a recap maybe. But the reviewer has a positive attitude.

Our newest competition on Thurs. @ 10, followed by a not-so-nice review of Dig:

http://www.syracusenewtimes.com/abcs-am ... rtainment/

Also new: the shallow Dig

" . . . explores the implications of religious fundamentalism and end of days conspiracy theories. Don’t worry, it’s not nearly as heavy as it sounds."

"If you simply want to escape into a frothy, exotic action adventure series, you can still enjoy Dig without all the fuss, though, like Connolly, you might feel a little like a stranger in a strange land."

 Well, this is just my opinion, but:
Dig isn't actually that deep. But it's not meant to be a deeply theological, political or philosophical discussion. It's entertainment made over religious themes and conspiracies. And I think it's exciting, engaging, and entertaining.

Those complaining about the shallowness of it, what kind of series would they have want? Nothing I would have bothered to watch, that's for sure. When I want a in depth documentary, I will watch that. There's a time and place for everything. This is entertainment, and very good entertainment too. :soap

I agree with you, but reviews like that are discouraging, making it sound like it misses the mark.

What more can we do to promote it?

What could be done to enhance DIG profile:

Promote and eat DIG inspired food:

Peter - pita
Well of Souls - Well of Soles (fish) - remember, Peter the apostle was a fisherman.
Joshuas - falafel
Liquid from lake in caves where Peter and Emma bathed - Chai Latte
Essene - freshly baked S, N shaped biscuits, yellow earth colour, as body of Essene in purification ritual.
Emma's red stone - Red Turkish delight

etc... (still looking for more, open to suggestions) :D
