Yes. The Dominion ruled the sector of space on the other side of the Wormhole. They were shape-shifters, and the head of security on DS9 was also one of them, who was orphaned on "our" side of the wormhole.

There were some kind of aliens living in the wormhole, that were called The Prophets by the Bajorans, who treated them as gods.

Well, that cast candid does give hope that JI may have hair...
After reading the rest of this thread, I'm thinking perhaps Lorca should have a Canadian accent!!

(Although, don't throw things at me, I listened to Himself on the audiobook of Case Histories, and he was of course engaging, convincing, and versatile, but there was a single character who, for no discernible reason, was described as Canadian, and I thought his accent was dreadful!! After living with two Canadians for decades, I expected better from him! :bag:)

I remember Mudd. I just googled him, (found out that my memory was off, he was not in The Trouble with Tribbles) but it cleared up a mystery for me. His full name was "Harcourt Fenton Mudd". I have a distinct, (ok, fuzzy) memory of a character saying "Hardcore Fenton Mudd, you've been drinking again". Even at a young age, "Hardcore" seemed a strange name for a man. Now it all make sense.

Don't beat yourself up, fruitbat. You were very close. The episode was "I, Mudd." It was his wife that said that line throughout the episode. He had an android of her that he kept in a glass enclosure which he could turn on and off at will. Obviously not a good marriage.

Mudd was an interesting character. I can't wait to see what the new series does with Mudd and Sarak,

There was an episode called Mudd's Women. He had beautiful women available for lonely men to marry, wearing those skimpy spacey costumes so beloved of Gene Roddenberry.

I think I mixed him up with the guy who sold the Tribbles, but that was someone else, wasn't it?

My friend/former supervisor had a Tribble on her desk. I picked it up and it made a Tribble sound. I almost shrieked and dropped it. :D

According to IMDB, that was Stanley Adams, who played Cyrano Jones. He illegally sold Tribbles, which were sentient beings, and therefore not to be sold.

I, too, once thought that Harry Mudd was in "The Trouble with Tribbles" because the two actors had similar physical appearances and I confused them. So, you aren't alone in thinking that.

I loved the Tribbles. They were so cute - but they bred like - well, Tribbles. I loved Scotty's reaction when he found them in all the machinery.

There was even an episode of Deep Space 9 (I had to look it up, I thought it was TNG) that used the Tribbles, called Trials and Tribble-ations, where the DS9 crew were inserted into the Trouble with Tribbles episode of TOS.

No Lorca! :bawl :bawl :bawl
And I feel so alien... Used to watch Star Trek episodes when I was 8-10 yo but don't remember anything except Captain Kirk and Spock.
I don't think I've ever understood a single episode...
Only Lorca can make me connect.

Very curious about how he looks. Maybe too handsome to show on a trailer...
