Over in RA (Richard Armitage) fandom, we have a thread with suggestions of roles we'd like to RA in. Most are roles from literature, but also some hopes for remakes of films.
Does anyone else see Jason as Mr. Knightly in Emma?
Is this too 'fangirly"?

Jeremy Northam was great in that role with Gwyneth Paltrow as Emma.
Jason will be great as well.
Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady
Aro, the Italian Vampire Royalty in 'New Moon'
Barnabas Collins in 'Dark Shadows'

There was general thread about the new version of My Fair Lady on the same board. I just checked it out. I suggested Jason for the role of Professor Higgins.

I think he'd make a great narrator for a new 'Peter and the Wolf'........
or how about a film version of 'Hogan's Heroes'....or
Hawkeye from M*A*S*H?

Well,
I love to see him in anything!!
But my vote goes for Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady remake.

Dear god, please don't tell me Burton's directing!
For myself though, I'd dearly love him in a British ensemble flick a la "Peter's Friends" or "Love Actually".

Unfortunately..it is Tim Burton..
Quite why we are now witnessing another nosferatic craze is a tricky question, but, with Tim Burton currently planning to remake the old vampire soap opera Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp in the role of Barnabas Collins, romantic vamp, it's a safe bet that it will persist for at least a few years yet.

I totally agree with you on that, Gillian......not everything needs the "Burton" touch.
Some things should be left well enough alone if they're not going to be done in the "normal" way.

No doubt the Elfmeister will compose the score. Again.
