The Education Show

Post by thunder » Sat Jan 26, 2019 4:43 am

Typical... Jason does a public appearance the day before I go to London... It's all about me, isn't it?
Here are a couple of pictures:

I was at the BETT convention a couple of years back, now they can't afford to send us anywhere, but on the upside: They can't really afford to pay me for my over time either, so when I suggested I could take a couple of days off instead, they thought that was a good solution. So London, here I come. :wheee

I looked up the school, and it's in Liverpool, which is no doubt one reason Jason is involved. So a bit of a (Star) trek from London.

I like the fact that he has male fans as well as female.

Michael Rosen, in the photos with Jason, was Children's Laureate 2007-2009.

Tone, Jason will be at the Berlin Con later this year too. Maybe you can take another short trip?
I’m jealous that in Europe you can be anywhere in less than a few hours.

Ditto! Usually I have to fly cross-country ($$$) to see Jason. I got lucky in 2018. I saw him in L.A. and Las Vegas. Got my fingers crossed for this year.

I doubt I'll get to take time off very often to go places... This was pretty much all my over time this year saved up, and it's very hard to get time off. They let me do it, because I'm never off sick and I have never taken time off before during the 13 years I've worked there. And it was a perfect momonet to take time off with all my classes witout it affecting anyone of them in a bad way. I don't know when they'll let me do something like this again, but it was nice. London is always nice. Is it the Berlin con in Sept? I think it's maybe fall half term then... :scratch If I can get someone to go with me, maybe? I don't want to go by myself, I need moral support.

I'm the same way, thunder.
