Fan artist snatched from the jaws of certain death ...
... Ok, not really ...
Ive just been very busy. I sent an e-mail to Gillian about my gallery show in September and just replied back to her today with some big news and she said I should post it here ...
Comedy Central / SONY pictures contacted me this week. They're using my artwork on a pilot they're shooting on Saturday! And yes, I'm FINALLY being paid big bucks!
Not going to give away the name of the pilot or what the art is, but it's supposed to be the artwork of the lead character and she's a big fan of this person (and no, it's not Jason unfortunately).
So keep your fingers crossed that they buy the series so I finally have a reason to put my name on IMDB ... LOL ...

Diane, that is fabulously exciting!!!!
I got your e-mail about your gallery show (thanks for the notification!), and was thrilled to hear the news, but I think it was right before we left for England, and then...well....ya know.
Anyway, I hope it included some of your pastels, because what's up on the website now is nothing short of stunning.
Keep us posted about the TV appearance, will ya?
(and thanks for popping back over--we miss you!!!)

Thanks, Hilary! That's the only pastel I've ever done, but I want to do more. I'd tried before but hated the way it went on the paper so much that I gave up. Then I went to a workshop given by my best friend in January and she introduced me to sanded pastel paper which is AWESOME! The pastel really sticks to the paper, so now I'm hooked.Hilary the Touched wrote: Anyway, I hope it included some of your pastels, because what's up on the website now is nothing short of stunning.

So now I have to give pastel portraits a try.
Ooops, have to go to a meeting. More soon.
