Found it on Youtube. It's from 1991.

Jason doesn't have a lot of scenes, maybe 10 minutes all together (if it is that much).

But I'm glad I found it :D

Great find thunder! Wow 1991...wonder why he used the American accent? Guess he didn't want to sound like every other European in the film...leave it to him to find a way to find a way to stand out ;-) ~ellen

He used an American accent because the character was American... They made a point out of it several times in there. ;-)

I started to watch this as I thought it would be interesting. But the sound doesn't sync with the picture; it drove me crazy and I gave up.

Watched episode 1. I had the same synching issue as fruitbat.

Not enough Jason. Hope he gets more airtime in the next episodes.

I tried to watch Ashenden and the link did not work well and I could not work out which was Jason. Is this available on DVD?

I think I've seen it on Ebay, but it's not an official DVD. Probably copied from a TV recording.

I found it on another YouTube cannel, maybe this is better quality? Jason is in it, but he doesn't have a very big role. And he speaks with an American accent. (that has improved later)

I have just finished watching Ashenden and I thought the episodes were interesting and wish there had been more of Jason ; although he was brilliant in his few scenes as the ellusive Lehman. His character seemed to be really modern and ejoyed Jason's performance.

Also a Star Trek connection was quite a surprise. Rene Aubergoinois in episode 3 was a real treat and so sad to see him after his passing recently.

I have worked something out. I think Jason character would have hada more prominant role but they ony made four episodes. There is actually 16 chapters in the Ashenden novel each one should have been made into an single format episode; so that explain the gaps.

I enjoyed it more than I expected.

Ok I have just bought the novel Ashenden in paperback as I am fascinated to find out what happens to the Andrew Lehman character. I think in the BBC series they must have planned to make more episodes and have Jason's character develop for the viewer but unfortunately they never had the oppertunity.
