.....Maurice refuses to abandon the country he fought for during the Great War. Smartly written and compellingly portrayed by Jason Isaacs, he is the redeeming character of Good. ...
....There are things to recommend in the film, including Jason Isaacs’ terrific performance and production designer Andrew Laws’ frighteningly realistic recreation of Nazi Germany.

. . . "Because, apart from seeing the sort of World War II things we have already witnessed this year and in many other films, there is an honesty and freshness in John's relationship with Maurice, which keeps the tattering fabric from shredding. This film hasn't a prayer of making any money but if you don't care about only seeing what's in vogue you won't go away feeling unmoved. Good makes us look into our own souls, and if we are honest with ourselves it may depress us. Do you dare?"

"Now, we happened to be one of the 11 people who saw Viggo Mortensen's holiday Holocaust movie Good (and, for the record,
we thought it was great), and so we'd like to put Jason Isaacs on our
wish list, too. Someone give this man a leading role! He plays the evil
Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, and we say he's ready!"

That's my sentiment exactly! I want to see him in a leading role so badly. He's got the whole package : the talent, the looks, the X factor. Like what does Pierce Brosnan or Clive Owen have that he doesn't have?! Wake up Hollywood! Come on!kjshd05 wrote:http://www.observer.com/mobile/article/81163

I haven't seen this film yet... (and I can't wait!)
I think it's a good sign that the reviews are either bad or good. Of course I want them to be good, but the worst thing that could happen to it will be if all of the critics thought was a mediocre film.
It looks like everyone who has seen this film have a strong opinion about it. And people usually talk about the things they feel strongly about. In the end that will create more buzz than if everyone just thought the film was "OK". More people will go and see the film because they want to make up their own opinion about it.
(That's my optimistic prediction )
