New video interview of the Director..in Spanish

A fencing Jason Isaacs--in tights, no less!! Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

Post by Chari910 » Sun Jun 29, 2008 10:02 pm

Antonio del Real talked about the film. We can see glimpses of Jason now and then.

Will our Spanish speaking friends help with translating?..please

thank you Char, seems like a wonderful interview...
that man talks faster than Mr Jason...LOL

I could only pick up a few words here and there, but he does mention
"Jason" once...

I could've sworn I heard him say Sophia Loren at one point. What the heck that has to do with anything I don't know.

Thanks, Char. There were some nice little snippets in there.

The more publicity we see, the more convinced I am that this will eventually make it to theatres/television/DVDs. Thanks, Char!

Translation of the Interview!

Ok! here's the translation for the interview!

The Escorial Conspiracy is a thriller, a historical/political thriller. It's a thriller with a lot of intrigue, action but above all it's about the fight for power in King Phillip II's Royal Court in the 16th century between the Alva House, the Mendoza House, the Princess of Eboli and Antonio Perez.

Los Actores (The Actors)
Picking actors like Jason Isaacs (:D) and Julia Ormond, I thought it was going to be an extremely hard task, but it wasn't because they've read a script that they liked and all actors, like Jason (:D) said, are open to find important scripts, and in this case, they thought this one was magnificent and that's why they are here. Thanks so much, LCP. I'll post the video at the FanZOne as well.

Here are some more pics I found. Seems like Spain is pretty excited about this movie.

Wowza! So many goodies!!
LCP, that was vastly polished indeed: you did a marvelous job of making the English sound natural and coherent (something which sites like Babelfish are sadly inadequate at!). Thank you for taking the time and making such an effort for us!
Thanks Char--those are great new shots. The costumes for this project look gorgeous.

(any chance you could find a shot that shows JI's feet??)
