Begins filming March 29

This pilot for a Fox television series, based on the novel by Scott Turow, was tragically not selected for production. Bastards.

He'll get done filming in time to start shooting Retreat. He'll certainly be a busy man this year.

Maybe he'll finally get the recognition he so richly deserves.

The Novel for this Film.

 I ordered and already received my copy of Scott Turow's "Pleading Guilty," and it is very well written of course, from one of our top US crime tale writers... "Mack" is a very nicely written compex character, who probably will have a Midwestern slum Irish accent, not a real Irish accent. The whole novel is told as a first person report by Mack to his partners, fellow lawyers in the big firm for which they all work. Cops hate him, because he turned in a crooked cop with whom he worked as a young cop. His parents had a sour and mean relationship, he married a sour and mean woman who finally tired of his aloholism, and at their divorce made sure that HE gets full custody of their nasty mean teen boy druggy! And Mack tends like most alcoholic men to be impotent. The hot women in the law firm tempt him greatly of course, giving Mack much trouble. Altogether it is a very nicely complex character for Jason to play. Hope it is well=written, and he has a wonderful time playing it.

I'm sure Jason will be great in the role, he has experience and talent at playing complex characters.

Hoping to pick up the book this week when I go to the "Big City" (Our town doesn't have a book store. They tell us we've got the population but not the education to support one).
Anyway I've read most of Scot Turow's books but somehow missed this one.
Sounds like a role Jason can get his teeth into. Not just an everyday lawyer. That would be boring.
