Pilots filming in Chicago

everyone staying at the same hotel, and both Jason Clarke and JI are both filming in Chicago...

The above article states that "only Ride-Along will be based in Chicago full time"
Sounds like PG would possibly go back and forth between Chicago and LA depending on locations of the scenes.
I know other series would go to Chicago only a couple of times a year for outdoor shots. They use file videos to give the impression of being there as fillers.

Oh it's a lot more involved than that. Green screen technology means the actors can be dropped in to any location right there on set.
