This pilot for a Fox television series, based on the novel by Scott Turow, was tragically not selected for production. Bastards.

Scott Turow was on Bill Mahers show last night and when they were discussing his new book I was hoping they would say something about Pleading Guilty. Maybe mention why it wasn't picked up. But the panel, Cornel West, Jonathan Alter and Patrick Ruffin got into a heated discussion and poor Scott couldn't get a word in edgewise. I guess we'll never know and I'd really like to know.

I think we tried to ask Hart Hanson, but he never replied, just saying
that it's a tough world of TV, or something like that...

By the way, Scott Turow left a very good impression. He spoke very sensibly so everyone could understand him and he had a real nice sense of humor.
I'll have to go out now and buy his new book.

I love me some Bill. He can get a little carried away with his anti-religious stuff and raving on about corn syrup, but in general? Way sensible dude.
And Scott Turow impressed me as the same--good-humored, intelligent, willing to roll with the punches.
