If the original series is met with a lot of viewers maybe it will expand into a regular series.

Just because it shows on BBC doesn't mean it'll show up on BBC Amer.
Right now BBC Amer is showing Star Trek-The Next Generation. This was a US series that showed several years ago.
I thought BBC Amer was to show British shows here in the states.

Confused.

Thank you for the great info Kim.:hugs..this sounds like a great vehicle for Jason.

I was hoping for the same...to see British programming and of course eventually seeing this new series with Jason....we will have to wait and see I guess.

BBC America would be spot on, but it could also be picked up by PBS Masterpiece Mysteries!

It would be great if it became a regular series. Just look what happened to Midsomer Murders: the first season (1997) was five 100-minute "films" based on the five murder mystery novels written by Caroline Graham.

Season 15 has just completed airing in the UK and season 16 is in the can.

Imagine that! That's one heck of a long run.

As always, I will have to wait until it is out on DVD. LOL!

I'm right there with ya, Angel.

K2, your comment reminded me of the Wallender series, which began as Swedish novels, were broadcast on Swedish television, were adapted by the BBC (I think) and now air here on Masterpiece!

It would be real neat if this became a regular series. Just not one of those 20+ week seasons like here in the states.
We have to give Jason time for other projects.

Of yes. My books came to day but I haven't started them Have to finish what I'm reading. Daniel Silva's The Rembrandt Affair. Excellent book.

Yes, Miss Hils - wasn't Kenneth B. awesome?

Here's hoping we get to see Alan Cummings introduce JI's new detective series. I like the flow of that.

Cheers,
K2

Just got the books in the mail. Will start to read them when I'm done with what I'm on now.
Can't put down what I'm reading. Too exciting.
