DVD release (?!)

Based on the popular and critically acclaimed novels by Kate Atkinson, this mini-series was shot on location in Edinburgh and was quickly followed by a second season.

Thanks for the screencap from the Interviews on the DVD, Thunder.

I watched mine over a couple of nights. However, the first disc is so badly scratched, it came loose in shipping. I'm thinking of sending it back and asking for a replacement.

The interviews and behind the scenes on the DVD isn't too long. I found that when speaking Jason kept sounding very quiet. I had to keep turning the sound up. Whether his mic had been put in the wrong place, I'm not sure.

Love the DVD. Love the books, both written and audio.

Fingers crossed for a second series of Jackson Brodie.

Hooroo,
Carole

I thought the interview had bad quality too. I thought the sound went better towards the end of it (maybe it was some problems with the microphone) and the image seems very dark and grainy in the beginning (it got better towards the end too). Strange since they are on set, I would believe they should have enough light there :scratch

Barnes and Noble just posted Case Histories DVD for pre-order. $34.19 plus S&H. Release date of 11/8/11.
I'll probably order it there because I'm a member so no shipping charge.
Couldn't find it on Amazon.

Well that's strange. When you start to type in Case Histories, the auto-complete has Case Histories DVD and Case Histories BBC, but when you click either one, neither appears. It's on Amazon's radar, but . . . ?? :scratch

Helen, I got this one, but it includes so little information (other than that it's a DVD, the cost is $27.99, and it'll be released Nov. 8) that it's hard to know if it's what we're after!

Well, it's NTSC, so that's a help . . . but not much, like you say. Thanks, Hils.

You were lucky to find it Hilary. I looked all over Amazon and saw signs of it but couldn't pull it up.

grannybear, it's a case of the techno-challenged (you and me) being led by a techno-savvy.

I did the pre-release order. How much you want to bet they reduce the price to $24.95 before it's released.

Marie, I think the price will drop down to the 24.95... :woot

I've also 'pre ordered' as well ;-)

Ditto.

Even if the price drops below $25, we still won't be charged for shipping, Marie, so don't worry. They can't engage in bait and switch. :finger:

I've not had it happen to me yet - it would make sense that they should not charge shipping though.

Just got Amazon notification that Case Histories has shipped!
And HP7.2 has also shipped. The upside: The price dropped from $24.99 to $19.99 . . . a nice discount. :wheee The downside: delivery date for both—16 Nov.:rave
Guess I'll console myself with the 5 bucks savings.
