Thanks Cher. Love the pictures.
I wonder if actors ever get self-conscious about being shirtless in films?

Re: First Episode - SPOILERS
I think so grannybear, and I know Jason has stated he's not a big fan of nudity, he feels its unnecessary
for me, I think men without shirts are great

Re: First Episode - SPOILERS
Dang! Judging by the screencaps, one would think that he did the entire series shirtless.
That said . . . YEAH!!!
Thanks, Char!

Very superficial comments:
1. Who else loved Jackson's flat?
2. Who else loved Julia's dress when we first see her?
3. Who else wants to adopt Marlee (and if her father comes with the deal, that's ok too).
4. Who else wants to go (back) to Edinburgh?

1. I did. Quite lovely with the stable doors leading outside.fruitbat wrote:Very superficial comments:

2. Can't remember Julia's dress. LOL!
3. The kiddie is indeed very cute.
4. ME! In the first episode I thought I recognized the scenery but wasn't sure until I looked it up. Been there a few times and I absolutely love Edinburgh.
I'm not familiar with the books this is based on but after the first two episodes, the series did grow on me. Because I've been watching it on BBC (it'll take centuries before a Belgian network will pick it up) it doesn't have any subtitles and in comes my inability to flip the linguistic switch at once. Today I watched the fifth and last episodes and after five minutes I put on another English movie for about an hour - without the subtitles - to get used again. But I digress.
Jason is very good in this role and I think it's the first time I've seen him play a rather normal man -and- heard him shout so much. Did like the bare chest of course and he once more managed to make me feel sorry for him a couple of times.
Will there be a second season and when will we be getting it?
Lizzie
Re: First Episode - SPOILERS
1. I loved Jackson's mews flat. Very nice. Probably very expensive as well. How on earth Jackson ever affords it is beyong me.
2. Julia's dress is very pretty and feminine. Almost 70s in the way it looked to me.
3. I want to adopt Marlee. She is just ADORABLE. Even if her "mother dresses her like a prostitute".
4. I do!! I so want to go back and see more of Edinburgh. It is a lovely city. So many beautiful places to see. As I'm still waiting for my DVD of Case Histories to arrive, I've been watching episodes of Rebus with Ken Stott, just to get my fix of Edinburgh. How sad is that LOL.
Hooroo,
Carole

The episodes of Rebus were good and they followed the books closely. But give me Jackson Brody and Jason Isaacs any day

Edinburgh is beautiful and they have delicious Chocolate Fudge Cake. Of course you shouldn't go by me. I even like the Scottish dish called Haggis. So my judgement might be impaired.
Re: First Episode - SPOILERS
LOL, then you shouldn't go by my judgement either because I've always been fond of Scotland, adore ancient buildings and play a very typical Scottish instrument in my spare time.grannybear wrote:Edinburgh is beautiful and they have delicious Chocolate Fudge Cake. We should all go together to visit Edinburgh. Don't know if Edinburgh can handle that though.
