TV Ratings/Numbers

This is a TV series about a police officer after a fatal car crash killed either his son or his wife. He lives in two realities. One where his son survived the accident, and one where his wife survived. He doesn't know which is the real one, and he doesn't want to know. It aired on NBC, and was cancelled after one season.

Don't know if we can trust this (they've been wrong before) But it says Awake got 1.7 last night. That's more than last week (0,7), and maybe a hint to NBC that it actually helps promoting the show (because they tried a little harder this week).

Awake was up from last week's series low 0.7 adults 18-49 rating, earning a 0.9 rating this week.

Well, not quite 1.9, but still an improvement. And we gained back 356K viewers!

NBC Awake 0.9—2—2.496

This was a most riveting episode. Too bad people didn't stick around to see it.

Well can't really expect people to want to watch a show that has been cancelled.

Except us!

I agree that is probably what happened. Why would most people want to invest in a finale that they know they really won't get all the answers in. Most won't bother. I'm still dropping my jaw at some of the things that happened in last night's episode.

This (incredibly badly written*) article sums up our concerns about the Nielsen ratings.

* "Additionally, Community faced a similar struggle when his show ...."
"His?" Dan Harmon's?

" "It's move to TBS will....."

(Sorry, I've got the grumps. I don't think HuffPost people get paid, anyway.)
