It never occurred to me, as a non USA person, that the post of Surgeon General came with a uniform! I would have assumed a sharp suit.

Doesn't our boy fill that smart uniform nicely though?

The current SG is a woman & you can see her in her uniform at the top of the real SG page (however, she's not wearing as many 'medals' as Jason does on his uniform. lol)
