JI reads message for DEC: Help for Pakistan

I had to right click on the download-button and save it to listen to it. DEC = Disasters Emergency Committee
Glad he is doing this
Hope it's not too "political" to be posted here...

Whatever problem some people may have with some people in that country, there are people who must deal with a random attack from nature....possibly helped by climate change...partially brought about by humans... (OK, some may find that statement a bit political.... )
At least some of those people must just be trying to get through their days not hurting anyone and hoping for the same treatment. If those people can get help with help from Jason, that is wonderful.
Thanks very much for sharing.

There ain't much that's too political for these parts, Thunder--and in this case, you provided a straightforward, value-neutral report of recent activity of the subject of this board, so anyone with political questions can take 'em up with HIM!
(we try and limit the more incendiary stuff to the Political Forum, but this in no way qualifies.)

Nothing political about it. Help is needed, glad that people around the world are working to provide it.
Here's the political part ... there are local organizations providing it, filling the gap that the government and other aid groups have left open.

... Falah-e-Insaniyat is the charity wing and the latest front for Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group behind the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India ...

Thanks so much, thunder. It played straight away for me! Wait until my mother hears him!
My heart goes out to these people. Unfortunately, they're not getting the help like Haiti did. I suppose many people are all tapped out!
On one of the morning shows they're celebrating, although I don't think that's the right word, the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and what's happened since then.
