Nope. Orlando, FL. You had my heart going there for a second, thunder.

:D

I bought a ticket. Geez this one is pretty inexpensive. $40 for Sat and Sun (that's total not each day.) The Orange County Convention Center is very nice. I hope Jason goes - you never know with these things.

Well in Comic Con's defense - MegaCon is next month and there is still no schedule of what time people are appearing - or what is there (vendor's room, displays, etc.) A lot of these smaller Con's seem to be an opportunity for Geeks to get together and COSPLAY. So I still say you get your money's worth from Comic-Con - I just wish I could get a ticket!

What doesn't everyone dress up and role play?

I thought Orange County was in California, too. I guess there is more than one?

COSPLAY? It would be interesting to see folks dressed as some of Jason'c characters. :D

I saw a documentary about the Norwegian cosplay subculture. It was quite fascinating. They just don't get a cheap cosutme from the shop...

I will be next week on Hannibal convention, so I can tell you about outfits, when I'll come back.
I'm staying in hotel room with two professional cosplayers and I don't know if my lame outfit won't scare them :D

From my experience I can tell, that people can be very creative when making costumes (doesn't matter if it's a cosplay thing, role playing or knighthood) and not always eager to spend lot's of money on it.

Yes, that struck me too, how incredibly creative they were... making amazing costumes from what they found in their parent's garage etc. And how much they think about it before they start. :hands

Antoni, As a Fannibal, I'd love to hear about your experience at the convention! Where is it?

Yes, many cosplayers have absolutely fantastic costumes. Whether they make them or buy them, it's still a labor of love. I would love to see Comic Con or even NY Comic Con (which is this weekend), but the tix are $$$ and they sell out so fast! (and then there is the hotel/flight for San Diego) The Philadelphia Wizard Con was $50 for at least one of the days.

Last Halloween I made my nephew's mummy costume from cheese cloth I'd bought at the dollar store. I was quite pleased with myself. :D
