Re: Interviews
Thanks for that, Char.
There are deliberately no spoilers from Jason, so it's safe to listen at any stage.

Re: Interviews
On Loose Women on Dec 21, video didn't show his discussion about The OA though

Thanks, Char
Re: Interviews
If you live in the UK you can watch the whole interview on ITV player. But Jason doesn't give anything away, he said the OA production people have deliberately told their stars not to. There was a short film clip, which was just a trailer. The rest of the interview was more or less as seen on Youtube.
He did say his character is not all bad, he does bad things but his final aim is good.

Re: Interviews
Not really a spoiler - but a question. WTF was the Psychiatrist doing in OA's house? Where he catches the boy looking for clues.

To plant those books to discredit The OA?

Re: Interviews
Damned good question. Also what motivated French to be there??
I had a question about the books themselves: Prairie was, from a very early age, literate; but surely reading in Braille and reading printed text are wildly different mental activities. Like, the process of converting a system of symbols into words seems like it must be so different that she would have had to spend some time and effort to develop it... though maybe she'd developed her reading ability online, where she also had the support of the reader.

Re: Interviews
I have the same suspicion as you Char! That was the first thing I thought - they planted the books so her five friends would lose faith and think she was crazy. I hope there is a second season!

Re: Interviews
I saw JJDunbar posting this on twitter, so I'm just posting it here: https://www.thejc.com/culture/features/ ... s-1.430544
It's not just about The OA.

Re: Interviews
Thanks, Thunder. That was a little different. I particularly find his thoughts on politics to be interesting.
Re: Interviews
I hadn't put 2 and 2 together to realise that The JC is the Jewish Chronicle. That slants the interview in a particular direction - but interesting nonetheless.
His political views don't surprise me, although I think he's a bit hard on the PM. I will wait and see before saying she is a waste of space.
