Thanks for the trailer.
The blurb says, "Jason Isaacs as a sweary, North England version of former Soviet deputy defense minister Georgy Zhukov."
Jason should feel right at home then!

That trailer exceeded my expectations. Wonder when I get to see it though, it hasn't got a premiere date in Norway yet. Hope some distributors wakes up during TIFF...
Thanks for posting!

Marie, even my husband laughed aloud and expressed enthusiasm!
I think it looks hilarious--and what a dream cast! (though, yes, my fave shot is the general dramatically swirling his cloak about his shoulders

)

This was beyond amazing. Great performances all round but special mention to Simon Russell Beale and Steve Buscemi for their darkly comic portayals. Jason who although did not get the screen time I was expecting was amazing; you could just imagine Georgy Zhukov taking on the might of the enemy in WW2 and Jason seemed in his element all sweary and no nonsense scary and human all at the same time.
I really enjoyed the movie.
Just seen ep 1 of Brotherhood.

One of my very favorite movies that Jason has acted in. In a lot of his movies the reviewers will say things like bad story, bad acting except for the wonderful Jason Isaacs - but this was both a terrific movie with great acting all around and of course a fabulous performance by Jason.
The OA also has the trifecta of fantastic story, great performances by all the actors and very high production values.
And don’t forget Season 1 of Discovery. Wonderful story With a terrific surprise, extremely high production values and nearly all the performances were excellent.

Annie, don't listen to Marie. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

The Death of Stalin is one of my favourite Jason-movies. Glad you enjoyed it too, Annie
