This puppet animation movie is a prequel to "The Dark Crystal", a classic from 1982. Jason Isaacs gives his voice to The Emperor. It will premiere on Netflix August 30. (2019)

After what I gather it's a puppet movie. It looks really good.

I loved the original film The Dark Crystal (even though the first rented video of it I saw might have been a pirate copy because its quality was so bad). It's great to think of Jason involved in a Henson puppet film.

Aw man that's brilliant!!!!
I LOVED "The Dark Crystal"--as did my daughter. I'm thrilled to read that this prequel will employ the same "handwork" as the original!

Netflix’s highly anticipated and all star The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance has set a release date for August 30, according to a report from Deadline.
