Very meaty interview. Thanks, thunder. It's always great to have Jason's perspective on things in hand before watching.
I read the interview after I posted on the previous topic about having watched The Dark Crystal last night and wondering if children back in 1982 were adversely affected. The interviewer mentions "Kids were terrified of the 1982 Skeksis" which makes sense to me. I assume that kids today are bombarded with all kinds of issues that might make the Skeksis less haunting. But that's just a guess.

Oh, great interviews. Loved how, in the live interview, Jason kept showing up in others' by virtue of proximity.
Thanks, thunder.
(I still have one more ep. of
The OA to watch and then I can start watching
AoR. So much Jason, and not enough time to watch it all.)

I haven't had time to watch this yet, but I saw the original movie the other day. I will start this as soon as things calms down a bit at work.
This interview is pretty long:

thunder, it was long and good. Thanks for posting.
One thing he said that I don't agree with:
I would never do standup, because that’s utterly terrifying
He does a "standup routine" at every Con panel I've seen him in, and he has every audience in a roar. Even though I've heard his stories many times, I still find them funny because he embellishes them in every telling. I don't think he should rule anything out.

I don't think he minds when the room is full of fans that will love everything he says anyway. A regular stand-up crowd, can be a lot more harsher and quite heartless at times. I'm sure he'd be great anyway, but I understand his feelings about this.
