So that is fascianting. I am surprised that The lost Daughter got acting nods. It got decent reviews and I cannot recall its UK box office but was not a major hit. The Tragedy of M....... got iffy reviews and a small box office. Yet both get majopr Oscar nods. Somerthing stopped Mass. Poor Marketing ? not what the Academy/Bafta wanted?

I do not know whether to be angry of baffled. :finger:

It was expected, I still had hope, though.

Glad to see the Norwegian movie "The Worst Person in the World" get two nominations, though.

It is very difficult for small independent films to properly promote a picture for awards. They just don’t have the money!

Someone who doesn't like Jason's Oscar snub . . . he ranks his snub in first place . . . like we do.

This is a fascinating piece and sums up the whole failure of the awards swing to reward true talent. Wonder how many more of these articles will appear. Jaso has done a string of great roles.

Mass, Good, Scars, Nine Lives, Skeletons, Death of Stalin, After the Fall, Brotherhood and many many more. He is the industry's best kept secret.

Even the misfires are entertaining. I must be only person who thinks Hotel is a bonkers hoot of a movie. ( I am grinning just thinking of it :hit )
