I've seen it
I noticed that I could rent/buy it on YouTube.
My thoughts:
I should probably have seen the first movie first, because it was like being dropped in the middle of a story line. There's a lot of important background that wasn't very well explained in this, so it seems like they assume people will watch all of the movies. The ending also was kind of a cliff hanger. Because I hadn't seen the first movie, I wasn't vey well invested in all the characters in it, and it probably would have been more engagning if I was. It still kept my attention, and it had a lot of action sequences. It wasn't boring... Steve comes on in the final 30(?) minutes. He's kind of a comic relief, and a very welcome one too, since it's been quite intense up until then.
Spoiler!
Steve survived this, so that means that there are chances of seing him in the next movie as well.

Re: I've seen it
Thanks, thunder, for the recap. I'll see if we can stream the first movie. It's good to know that we get to see him at all. And. I'll always take comic relief.

I am so pleased you enjoyed it and I am looking forward to Jason chatting about this project in the near future.

Re: I've seen it
Steve has about 10 minutes screen time in this. I just noticed my first post was a bit confusing. He comes on after about 80 minutes of the movie, but he isn't in it all the time after that.
Re: I've seen it
I came up with nothing for a prequel from the streaming sites I belong to.

Re: I've seen it
I saw that I can rent the first movie on YouTube as well. Don't know if it's available world wide, though. I don't plan to see it, it's not that important...
...and Jason's voice isn't in it....

I am confused which is not something new. Am I correct that Jason acts in the movie but someone else speaks his lines?.
Re: I've seen it
It's him (made up as an alien) using his own voice, Annie.

Re: I've seen it
Amazon Prime has both movies to rent or buy. $3.99 for the first one and $6.99 for the new one (rental prices).
