I bet an imaginary Newkie Brown that he won't be there come Memorial Day.

Anyone think he'll be out earlier than that?

Ben & Jerry (of ice cream fame) are taking bets over at http://www.truemajority.org/. Winner gets a year's supply of ice cream!

Oh, my head...

At this moment, I'm listening to Gonzales and Ted Kennedy bantering live on NPR.

G: "Senator, I believe from what I knew that there was justification for the actions taken--"

TK: "But you said you had no involvement in the actions--"

G: "Uh--"

TK: "So how could you know if the actions taken were appropriate?"

G: "Be..cause...I generally got a sense of new energy in that office, and based on Mr. Samson's decision, at the end of the day, I was aware of Mr. Bonovan's trying to get an understanding, and I don't recall remembering December seventh, there was loss of confidence of individuals--"

TK: "Sir, are you slipping into political gibberish to cover the fact that everything you've said up to this point has been a steaming pile of bull****?"

G: "Senator, I'm not aware of that. I --OO, QUICK, EVERYBODY LOOK OVER THERE!" (flees room)

WoW.
Salon.com has an illuminating, you should pardon the expression, article about the Justice Department--until I heard it from Bill Maher, I had no idea that the JD currently includes 150 graduates of Pat Robertson's Regent University.

I caught a few assorted minutes of poor Mr. Gonzales' testimony as well--somebody in the media described the spectacle as akin to watching the clubbing of baby seals. I have to admit that Mr. Gonzales offered about as much cogent defense.

how long will he last?

Post by malfoygrandma » Thu Jun 14, 2007 7:57 am

nuke.gif As long as there are TexMex voters in you-know-who's home state! That is how long Gonzales will last! Where the Southern Baptist Assoc. just voted to back the prez' Mr. G., as well as to refuse to allow anyone in their "church" to believe that global warming has a scientific cause but is really a punishment from ......
Well, so much for that! When I was a kid and an ardent Catholic, the whole nation refused to elect a guy prez if he was Catholic because those people might interfere with our great government and everyone knew that churches were not supposed to do that! What's that old Hippie song? Times they are a'changin".....tra la.

Don't let the door hit you in your incompetent ass on the way out.

First Rove, then Gonzalez--are we going to see complete and utter stasis for the remainder of Shrub's term??

I wish we would see stasis - unfortunately I think he will continue to do damage.

What a nice headline to wake up to. :D

They're all leaving in disgrace. And then there's the upcoming nuptials: the lipstick on the pig.
