I find it quite amusing that he plays such fearsome characters - and VERY believably, I might add - yet he's so disarming and charming (pardon the rhyme) in real life (from what I have read and seen in interviews). He's even described himself as "wimpy" and "cringing". You'd never know if from his roles - or that picture above. hehehe

Indeed!
I think I remember an interview where he said, "inside everyone lurks a sadist..."

He wasn't kidding!!

Well...sadist or not... he still makes me swoon!

It's so completely bent.

This movie gets a pretty bad rap, but it does have a really striking visual sensibility, and it has some interesting things to say about the nature of fame and how its pursuit can affect people.

Also some great dancing. :D

yeah, I agree he's very frightening...

...but isn't that just what makes this character so strong?

Someone you love to hate always keeps the viewer glued to the screen...

I got the DVD, but haven't had the time to watch it yet.
But I sure will tell you what I think when I do.

I've seen some small parts from it, and it seems like that Percy character is quite "scary".

I've seen some singing clips but thats all. Love how he is with the DJ! I thought that was really funny.
"What did you say?"
"I said **** ***!"
"I thought you said that."

I rented it once, too, and learned that Jason’s part was so small that the entirety of his role is in two (2) short YouTube posts. (There are also several other videos, with Jason discussing TLM.) I enjoyed the Director’s comments about his dancing:

1. The close-ups of the Sinatra song were by a professional tap dancer (at least, I seem to remember that comment), and

2. Jason actually choreographed “When a Man Loves a Woman” (in which, IMHO, he channeled Percy Sledge so well, that when I first heard that, I thought Jason was lip-synching)!!

I think he was singing when they filmed it, but the sound we hear of him singing in the movie isn't Jason. You can hear him sing in the behind the scenes footage, but the singing in the movie is a different voice.

Goodness make sure no one walks by while that movie is on. Just about died watching it alone when the fist f#@&ing scene came on. I could have gone a lifetime without seeing that.

It's a very weird and violent story, and Jason's part is very, very small. I have seen it, but did not enjoy it very much, except for Percy. I don't remember very much about it now, but I do remember that scene Marie describes...
