The Patriot

The projects that don't have their own subforums, because they are older than The Lost Girls, but still deserve a special place on the board..

I don't think it's available in Region 2... Or is it?
The region 2 dvd is available at UK amazon:

Hmm. I actually didn't think Peter Pan is for children at all.

I mean, we'll ignore the whole underlying sexual awakening thing ... which everyone misplaces on Peter, but come on, Barrie did insist that Mr. Darling and Captain Hook be played by the same actor, and we all know that young girls have all sorts of issues directed at their fathers, so the confusion of having such a dark and enigmatic and, well, sinful, almost, character played by the same actor as the father ...
Yeah, I had a feeling I wasn't explaining myself correctly. I should have said that, at least to me, Peter Pan, if it is not necessarily for children, it explores the world of childhood, as it turns into adulthood, (because teenage-hood is a recent invention...). Whereas, if The Patriot has children in it, it is about very adult preoccupations.

Of course, if you squint hard enough, everything is about childhood ;-)

I might get the extended cut anyway though! When it's that cheap end everything..hehe..

It's possible that this has already been discussed, (heck, I might have even asked this question before myself) but, has anyone ever calculated how long, or short, The Patriot is when you only watch the good (ie, Jason) bits?

(Guess what I just did :D although as I paused it for laundry, I didn't time it. )

LOL fruitbat...that was really random. :D
I don't how short or long (whatever) the Patriot is when I only watch the Tavvy bits- all I know is that the movie becomes more interesting when I fast forward to his scenes and skip over the rest ;)

Angel, it's like fast-forwarding through commercials.
Commercials for products that remove gunk from your bath-tub.

I wanna make a shirt that reads:

You know, it's an ugly business doing one's duty.
But, just occaionally, it's a real pleasure

But, copyright rules apply to homemade shirts, right? :scratch
