Re: Magazine Articles
I like detective shows. I'm a Law & Order freak. Have watched them all since day 1.
Re: Magazine Articles
grannybear, how 'bout the CSIs? They're detectives of a sort.

Nope, don't like CSI. In real life those guys collect evidence and don't go out solve crimes.

Re: Magazine Articles
I'm with Grannybear--the CSIs are too . . . hyperbolic? They don't do it for me. Maybe it's the exquisite manicures of the female techs .
But I do find the formulaic nature of L&Os to be somehow comforting, even if the quality of the episodes can be a little uneven

The CSIs solve the crimes with the evidence they collect and analyze.

I like mst of the police dramas - although I'll admit I just could not get into the one with Tom Sellic. His face is so grumpy all the time.

I agree. Tom Selleck does not seem to fit as Jessie Stone. I read the books and like all books to screen they changed a lot. I didn't picture Stone as being so grumpy either. They changed Case Histories etc. also. Guess we'll just have to grin and bear it.
