DVD release (?!)

Based on the popular and critically acclaimed novels by Kate Atkinson, this mini-series was shot on location in Edinburgh and was quickly followed by a second season.

According to this: The DVD contains extras such as Behind The Scenes on Case Histories & interviews with Jason Isaacs, Kate Atkinson and is sure to intrigue and thrill audiences nationwide when it’s released on DVD.

Maybe Inamac can confirm this, but she might be busy watching. Can't say I blame her :lol
You forced me to break open the case (no easy matter as it's oddly packaged packaged in a closed box (rather than a slipcase) but otherwise standard packaging. It is not, BTW, a BBC disc, being marketed by ITV Studios on behalf of Ruby Films (I have no idea how this will affect foreign sales, there's only a tiny 'As seen on BBC' logo in one corner). BBFC has rated it 15.

There are two discs. Disc 1 has the first three episodes, Disc 2 is the final three episodes, plus 'Behind the Scenes' – a 15 minute collection of interviews with Kate and Jason, Amanda Abbingdon (Louise) Kirsty Mitchell (Mrs B), and the producer Helen Gregory. (Interesting, but not what I'd normally expect from something called 'Behind the scenes'.) And that's it for the 'extras' (except for subtitles). But about all that can be expected for a minor TV drama series.

It's a good clear transfer though. I've been watching on my laptop, since the TV is taken up with tennis at the moment – looking forward to the chance to see it again on a big screen.

Thanks, inamac. I'll really enjoy seeing these DVDs. I'm worried that we've already seen the Behind-the-Scenes interviews here. But, such is life.

I saw a reality tv show about make-up/special effects artists. One of the segments had them applying temporary tattoos (one of the things a make up artist would need to know in the business). It was quite interesting - the tattoos had to be detailed but look realistic (not like something painted on.) Very cool!

With my luck I'd get Frankensteins Monster to put them on.
