Jason's Mutant Spagetti Bolognese

Post by thunder » Thu Aug 27, 2020 10:39 am

I found this, says it's Jason's recipe:
Make this 'mutant' spaghetti bolognese, a signature dish by actor Jason Isaacs. If you love garlic, this version of spag bol is definitely for you!

The carrots.
This is so reminiscent of my husband's English recipe for lasagna. What the hell is that ingredient, and what's it doing there?? Like all the tuna-salad sandwiches in the UK--"sweet corn" is mandatory. Fucking corn in your tuna sandwich.

We always put carrots in sauces :bag:

I don't see a problem with carrots in the pasta sause or sweet corn in the tuna sandwich. It fits right in, if you ask me...

I think carrots are supposed to add natural sweetness. Tuna and sweetcorn is a staple of the UK sandwich.

He obviously loves garlic. Will have a go at this at some point.

As I don't have a lead-lined mouth, esophagus or stomach, I'll pass on cooking it. Those of you who aren't limited by the aforementioned anatomy, let us know how it goes.

Also how big a saucepan will I need for this dish.

The honey and mustard chicken sounds lovely as well.

It's for a lot of people, you can make half of it, and eat it for dinner for a week or so, I think...
